Good Night Sweet Prince, Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

We bid farewell to a visionary, pioneer of home/personal computing, ruthless businessman (that's how Pirates of the Silicon Valley poetry him). What I remembered him most is how he killed the floppy drive by not having any floppy disc drive in iMacs. It took the world by surprise as back then we are still pretty attached to that magnetic sensitive and fungus prone storage media. Who would've thought to make CDs bootable? I still remembered the steps needed to install windows in a new computer back then.
1) insert boot disc
2) type cd d: (if the cd drive is D)
3) setup

Then there's the iPhone. The first ordinary-person-friendly-smartphone which is affordable. Sure, the samsung galaxy s 2 is way better then the iPohne 4 and cheaper, but that's how market matures, like how IBM clones finally beat macintosh in their own game. Before there was an iPhone, smartphones was only within the reach of businessmen or really rich and spoilt kids. For example the Sony Ericsson P series smartphones cost close Rm3000 during launch. Take a walk in any shopping mall in the Klang Valley today and you'll see more iPhones then an SE Experia.
